Pacermind.com site is owned and operated by Pacermind Education, LLC. Pacermind Education (Pacermind) feels strongly about protecting your privacy and the privacy of your students.
We offer three types of membership: Family Edition Membership Plan, School Edition Membership Plan and District Edition Membership Plan. Family plan is for an independent family who has purchased subscription of our product or service for personal or family use. School plan and District plan are for school(s) that has purchased products or services for student in their schools.
What we do with your information
Pacermind will not sell, trade, or assign any personally-identifiable information that it collects to third parties outside of Pacermind. If Pacermind shares any such information with a third party, it will be in accordance with the terms of this privacy policy and for the limited purposes that we discuss below. The only exceptions are when we are required by law to supply your information, or if we are acquired by a third party, who would then be in charge of the privacy of your information. Your information would only be shared with a third party if it is absolutely necessary for the integrity of your account. Any other use of your information will be for internal use to improve our quality of service like we use student data to guide a variety of our business decisions.
Information we collect
Parent or a school official must first register at the Pacermind website. This registration process will require you to provide your name, email address, your credit card information and your billing address.
Credit Card Information: For membership plans we use and save your credit card information to bill you for each student that you register for the programs. Sensitive payment information that we collect from you is kept in payment gateway secure servers and we access the information using security token. We don’t save sensitive payment information directly into our servers. Payment information is used for the purpose of making monthly membership payments.
Password: All passwords are stored using a special one way encryption algorithm. Although we can verify that you typed the right password, we will never know your password. That means that in the event of a security breach, theoretical an attacker would never be able to access your password. If you forget your password, you can request a new password since we cannot actually recover your previous password.
Email Address: For parents and school officials, your email address may be used to send a confirmation email at registration, as well as information and updates to the programs. In some cases, we will also email your student’s personal reports to you, with further information about the progress your student is making on the programs. We may use the email address as an additional means of communicating with you about the programs including notifying you of updates to the web site or its related policies.
Billing Address: Your billing address is used to validate payment information.
Business Address: School membership is purchased for specific site. Also, occasionally we may mail you program materials.
Student Information: We collect the student information, name and grade, for the purpose of customizing reports and progress in the program. You are free to use any alias first and last name for your student. We will never call a student directly as we don’t collect student email or phone number.
Use of cookies
A cookie is a small amount of data sent to your browser from our web server and stored on your computer, then sent back to the server by your browser each time you access our website. Cookies are used solely for the required operations of our website and services. We do not use cookies to collect any personal information. Please note that if you refuse the Pacermind cookie (by turning cookies off in your browser or by clicking “don’t accept” if you have set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies), our programs will not work. Cookies cannot be used to gather personal information from your computer.
Security policy
We use industry standard SSL (secure sockets layer) technology to encrypt all sensitive data used in Pacermind. For example, submission of all passwords, credit card information, etc. are protected through encryption methods.
